The installation is a continuation of research conducted for the piece Self(s), which places the home as its central concept. In Dutch houses, it is common to leave the curtains open. After months of observing my neighbors, I felt as if I knew them and wondered if they were watching me too.

In this edition, over the course of two months, different performers inhabited the space for four hours per day. We are seen by the audience from different angles—both as artwork and as artists. Through a feminine lens, I play with my life as a translucent concept that moves between the interior and exterior of the piece.

In the act of looking, questions of privacy and ethics arise, challenging the meaning of art and its world. To what extent is it acceptable to watch?
